DECA was formed in 1946 to enhance both educational and career opportunities for students seeking jobs in the business industry. The Slaton DECA chapter focuses on helping the community of Slaton. Last year the Slaton chapter gave parties and presents to the underprivileged children of the Slaton Housing Authority. The money generated through sales of this cookbook will go toward future projects and convention expenses. Also, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Harvey House renovation project.
